About
Just another person with things on her mind needing a forum in which to express them and hopefully will not offend but provide inspiration or pass on experiences that others can use or make them think about.
I’m just a normal person trying to make it through life without being too bitter, and trying to still find joy and laughter, and especially love.
This isn’t just about me, oh but maybe it is. I have a daughter who might eventually read this and find another part of me she didn’t know existed or she might discover that I am exactly as she has known me.
I’m not pretentious. I live, I love, I cry, I hurt, I laugh and I hold things inside just like everyone else. My perspective maybe a bit skewed, or it maybe the same as yours and I’m learning to be honest or at least to say, I won’t say anything, instead of nodding my head in silent agreement, when I don’t really feel that way, in order to avoid conflict or hurting someone. When someone asks me how I am, I try to remember not to say the usual “I’m fine, how are you?” instead, I want to be able to look inside, know how I truly am, and convey to others more depth than the social pleasantries.
I believe all challenges in life are to make you aware and question if you are where you need to be and if not then work to change. I believe children have a far greater capacity to understand and handle life than they are given credit for and I practice this with my daughter. My heart breaks every time I see others who place roadblocks in their child’s development.
I love to knit and crochet, and write, though I am still finding myself in regards to my writing. I wish I were rich so I could pursue my hobbies and help others but alas that does not seem to be coming to fruition, at least not yet. I still have hope.
I am always willing to make new friends. If you feel the same way, or want to talk to me about anything I’ve written, I can be contacted at: kate.spyder@gmail.com

What a lovely, thoughtful and authentic bio. Makes me want to rewrite my own now as it’s woefully short in comparison!
Definitely live without the masks, be who you are to the sound of your own drum.
Your daughter will absolutely enjoy the layers that make up your being, can only make your relationship deeper. I say this as someone who is learning more about my mother as a girl, a woman and her own being instead of just ‘mum’.
Very glad to have found your blog!
